Club Corporate Documents Approved

On 17 October 2011 a new Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (NFP Act) came into force. It required all federal NFP corporations to prepare new Articles and By-laws and apply for a continuance of their NFP corporate status. These documents were prepared and subsequently approved by Club members on 26 April 2014 and duly submitted to Corporations Canada where they were approved and registered. On 01 October 2014 a Certificate of Continuance as a corporation under the new NFP Act was issued to The Signallers Club of Canada Incorporated. The Certificate and Articles of Continuance together form the current Constitution of the Sigs Club while By-law No. 1 governs the Club’s internal workings.
